Data protection conditions

Tallinn Philharmonic Society processes your personal data primarily to fulfill legal obligations. More detailed information on the processing of personal data in city institutions can be found in the data protection conditions of the City of Tallinn.

Tallinn Philharmonic Society processes personal data primarily for the performance of a public task, a legal obligation, or the execution of a contract in accordance with the law and the regulations issued on its basis. If personal data is not processed for the performance of a public task, a legal obligation, or the execution of a contract, we will ask for your consent to process personal data. We process your personal data to the extent necessary to fulfill a specific purpose. When processing personal data based on consent, we will inform you of the personal data being processed and the purpose of the processing at the time of obtaining consent. The processing of personal data is based on the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (General Data Protection Regulation), the Public Information Act, the Personal Data Protection Act, other legal acts regulating data protection, and the guidelines of the Data Protection Inspectorate.

For participation in events organized by Tallinn Philharmonic Society, we process your personal data (name, email address, phone number) to ensure your place at the event, send information related to the event, and contact you in case of issues. If we wish to use your data to send information about future events, we will ask for your prior consent.

Please note that at public events organized by Tallinn Philharmonic Society, there may be situations where photos are taken or the event is filmed. These captures may be publicly displayed on the organization's website, in media channels, publications, or news related to the event. According to § 11 of the Personal Data Protection Act, there is no obligation to notify for public events where capturing for public disclosure can reasonably be expected. Such photo and video materials may have a permanent retention period set by us.

If you believe that we do not have a legal basis for processing your personal data, you may request the cessation, restriction, or deletion of data processing. To do this, submit a handwritten or digitally signed request to us.

You have the right to request the correction of inaccurate personal data. To do this, submit a handwritten or digitally signed request to us.

You have the right to access the data we have collected about you. To do this, submit a signed request for your data.

You do not have the right to demand the deletion of personal data that is processed based on law or contract fulfillment, and the purpose of processing personal data has not ceased, including the expiry of the data retention period.

You have the right to object at any time to our decisions and actions as a complaint or to take legal action in administrative court. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Inspectorate.

In Tallinn Philharmonic Society, the data protection contact person, whose task according to articles 37-39 of the General Data Protection Regulation, coordinates the institution's data protection issues. The data protection specialist for the institutions of the City of Tallinn is fulfilled by the data protection specialist of the City Office of the City Secretary. The city's data protection specialist coordinates the fulfillment of data protection requirements in city institutions and, if necessary, develops guidance materials and document templates for the city's institutions to comply with data protection legal norms and to shape uniform administrative practice.
